Room overview
Single room - shared bathroom - close to dining room and recreational facilities - personal entrance door to secure grounds. Room supplied with bar fridge. The room is in excellent condition, and is well maintained, cleaned each day. The room has a large window with good ventilation inclusive of individual air conditioning which heats in winter and cools in summer. A standard hospital type bed is provided with one bedside table. The room has a built in wardrobe with adequate hanging space, with shelving and draws inside.

Special features
All residents have access to one main TV in the main activities area. Each room is provided with a bar fridge. All tv sets and extra furniture are at the cost of the resident and their representative inclusive of the maintenance of same. There is a large rear garden with park benches and umbrellas insitu for families and residents to utilise. The facility is locked, and has perimeter fencing to minimise residents wandering outside of the facility. The facility has full Wheel chair access with secured landscaped grounds.
Additional amenities
Each resident or their representative are responsible for the payment of medications inclusive of lotions, creams prescribed by their GP. Residents may opt to have their own Allied Health services come to the facility EG: physio, podiatrist at their own cost. Each resident or their representative is responsible for paying hairdressing costs. Any costs associated with outings of residents is met by the resident. Intensive long term rehabilitation services following illness, injury, surgery or trauma are not provided by the facility. Provision of these services can be arranged at the expense of the resident.
Additional care
The facility has 24/7 Registered Nurses 365 days a year. The facility is co located with the Charleville Hospital and has access to Doctors from the hospital after hours. All residents have access to their own General Practitioner of choice within the facility (with appropriate credentialing approved by Qld Health). The facility can maintain palliative residents within the facility. There is a full time recreation officer that offers one on one and group activities and outings. Residents have access to Allied Health services from the Charleville Hospital. Dental services are offered to eligible residents from the Charleville Hospital. The facility is able to manage frail health and multitude of chronic diseases of residents with complex medical needs. Residents have access to In-house recreational activities - outings to Senior Citizens, Healthy Ageing and other community events. Use of facility laundry.
Shared spaces and common areas
There is a main common area in the middle of the facility where activities for residents occur. There is also a second dining room within the facility. The television is located in the main common area. This area has large sliding doors on each side that open out to well-maintained outdoor areas. One area has built up garden beds suitable for residents in wheelchairs. There is also access to undercover areas on both sides one of which, a BBQ is situated and can be utilised by family and friends. The facility has small sitting areas at the end of each wing with lounge chairs for visitors to utilise.
