I would never recommend this nursing home. Never been treated so disrespectful. Mothers day visiting our beautiful mother, we get told to leave. The father which is only next of kin, not Power of Attorney or anything. Financial manager sorry,because he is not capable of either to be honest. In front of our mother, residents and other family members visiting there loved ones. It was our heart breaking day to have asked to leave her only child her son, grand daughter and myself. I am dating her son and loved this women to bits. The father had us kicked out with no explanation or AVO in place. The reason being to get back at the son as he had never liked his son from day 1 he was born. His father was put away so he wasn't even around while his growing up. The mother son had the best loving relationship. Loved his mum to bits and always try to protect from her evil husband which everyone thinks his a good bloke....if only knew what his wife and son went through living with that devil of a man. Anyway our mum passed away two nights ago and we were not told o my found out through friends because the father has kept us all away from her since mothers day, grandkids, son, friends and myself. The only people he let in to see her was someone he hated and knew would make us angry. Thats the games he plays. So she died two nights ago and we were not aloud to be with her to hold her hand, so she passed away in her sleep alone. That is the most cruellest thing anyone could ever do to a mother and son who absolutely loved kne another. So devastated and heart broken you could imagine . ...what right did this nursing home have to keep mother and son apart like that and not be able to say good bye to his precious mother,!!! Explain please and what right did you have....??? Listen to a man who has no right to do what he has done....!! This will be taken further action as no one has any right to keep the only son who loved his mother so dearly away from each other, especially the night she passed away all alone....we would of sat by her side all night and not let her be alone...So cruel!!

Very nice and well done out for a nursing home. Reception very friendly. And had All coved restrictions and sign in on phone tec. Great
My first year at Macleay Valley House has been a positive experience.. Staff are dedicated and caring, sometimes stretched, but always doing their best for residents..with a positive attitude... During the current flood emergency situation, staff are working long hours, some sleeping on mattresses on the floor downstairs, and residents are well looked after, nobody could ask for more from them.. Macleay Valley House is a lovely place, and I feel fortunate to be living here, in such nice surroundings...

Such wonderfully kind,caring staff..always going out of their way to make the residents and their families comfortable , to feel like it is their home away from home. Maclaey Valley House is more like a resort/retreat than a nursing home!
