I have had nothing but great experiences with Montefiore Randwick. The staff are wonderful, attentive and kind to my mother. They bent over backwards to make her transition to aged care as smooth as possible and she loves them. Whenever I have had questions they have been very responsive. She also loves the food, the outdoor areas, and all the activities including her individual exercise programme. Montefiore Randwick has given both my mother and me peace of mind.

My experience with Montefiore Aged Care in Randwick was very disappointing. From what I observed, the facility appears to be run more like a business than a place focused on genuine care for residents. Management seems more concerned with profit and looking after their own senior staff, rather than supporting the people providing day-to-day care. During my father’s stay, I raised several concerns about his wellbeing, but these were ignored by management. I felt his safety was compromised as a result, and I ultimately made the decision to move him to another facility. It’s also concerning that management staff appear to use the facilities freely for their own benefit. I will be reporting these issues to Aged Care Services for further review.

This nursing home repeatedly sent me a variety of highly sensitive medical information regarding their patients (including photography of said patients and some wounds) only because my gmail address is similar to the address one of their doctors uses. They did not cease to send me information about this stuff including questions such as ”does person so-and-so need this medication X“ etc. even when I told them that I was the wrong person. This just seems very unprofessional and I can only hope that there was never any danger to the patients seeing that all of this medical information never reached the actual doctor (or at least only much later).

My father has been in dementia care in the special care unit for 3 1/2 years. He is so well looked after , so clean and such loving staff. Food is delicious and plentiful. The rooms are all beautiful. It’s honestly like walking into a five star hotel and my dad’s care has been five star. I feel very grateful as he enters his last stages of dementia.

We have had home services with Montefiore since 2015. I think the services, like gardening & house cleaning we receive are satisfactory with always room for improvement. Ravi our care coordinator has been very helpful & always reliable with any requirements we need.

My mother was cared for at Montefiore and we had an incredible experience. The staff were so unbelievably kind and compassionate. They have full time physios onsite which made such a difference to my mothers mobility. Very warm and friendly environment, highly recommend.
