From the moment my mum moved into this aged care facility, the difference in her has been incredible. Living with dementia can be such a difficult and emotional journey, but seeing her so happy, settled and genuinely thriving has brought me an enormous sense of relief. The facility itself is beautiful, with warm and welcoming living spaces that feel more like a home than a care facility. The rooms are personalised so thoughtfully, which has helped mum feel comfortable, safe and familiar in her surroundings. What truly makes this place special though is the staff. Every single person has shown such kindness, patience and genuine care towards mum. They treat her with dignity, compassion and respect, and it is obvious they truly care about the wellbeing of the residents. Knowing my mum is not only safe, but happy and being so well cared for, has taken such a weight off my shoulders. I am beyond grateful to the wonderful team here and could not recommend this facility highly enough to families going through a similar journey.
Taking the unity from the commUnity. Leaving their van parked in the limited handicapped parking space for several months. Extremely poor communication from management.

My husband spent 18 months at Rathdowne place. I cannot speak highly enough about the loving and professional care he received until the end. The place is well managed. The staff are competent and very warm. Any concern is swiftly addressed and resolved.
We were really disappointed with our experience with Rathdowne Place. We were initially led to believe by their staff that they had expertise in managing dementia, but when my mother-in-law's symptoms became challenging, the focus seemed more on offloading her as a difficult case rather than providing the necessary care. Their clinical staff were unresponsive and unwilling to work with St Vincents who wanted to support them and provide extensive outreach support. It looks nice but it's just like a hotel, not at all suited for providing quality aged care.

Issue seems to have been resolved and will hopefully stay that way. Glad we have been heard and steps are being taken to improve.
