My father was admitted 4 months ago. All the staff were lovely and caring. No matter who we approach from handymen, laundry, cleaners, admin and management- everyone was helpful and friendly. The facility hs lots of nice spaces specially where the rabbit is - great bonding with grandparents and grandchildren. Also love the cafe, cinema and the concert every week. I would only like to recommend to add more activities if possible like bingo which only happens once a day . Otherwise, i highly recommend Ivanhoe to my friends and family. Thank you so much.

My mother has been in Ivanhoe Grand Care for just over 3 weeks and the care has well and truly exceeded our expectations. Every single staff member has ensured Mum’s transition has been absolutely seamless. The care and kindness from the reception staff to the nurses, PCA’s, laundry staff, cleaning staff, food services and allied health staff has been nothing short of incredible. Mum and I are so thankful and in her words, “You could not have chosen a better place”
My grandmother stayed as respite 3 months ago, though it was only for couple of weeks, she had a great time. The care was excellent, the staff were caring and friendly. Everyone from laundry reception cleaners activity staff nurses and carers, they are all helpful and approachable. Management addresses concerns promptly.the facility is clean and has lots of spaces for families to gather. Thank you Ivanhoe Grand

My wife Annie entered Ivanhoe Grand Care community, formally known as Blue Cross, at the end of March 2024. For the 15 months that Annie was in age care , I visited her six days out of seven per week . This gives me a very strong perspective of how the community functions .My overall experience is excellent with caring and competent staff, first rate facilities, a responsive administrative team and a plethora of interesting activities. The personal carers who looked after my wife were sensitive, kind , responsive to requests and very competent. The registered nurses team as well as the care coordinators kept a sharp eye on Annie’s health. The food quality and service for meals is of a very high standard. Events like happy hour on a Friday afternoons are joyous occasions along with various special event celebrations. If a loved one enters age care, it’s critical that the principal carer takes a close interest in all aspects of the care community, for you become part of an extended family. Before Annie entered the Ivanhoe community, I assessed nine other age care facilities. I chose Ivanhoe as number one and was delighted when she was accepted at Ivanhoe. I should like to thank all of the staff at Ivanhoe for the wonderful care they provided to Annie and, I might also add , me, over the 15 months that she was a resident.
My mother in law is currently staying at this facility, her husband of over 40 years died suddenly and we tried to take her out to see him to say her goodbyes. We were told that she would be unable to say goodbye to her husband as their wasn't an available staff member to accompany her and she wasn't allowed out on her own, despite having two people there willing to take her and a maxi taxi to transport her to the palliative care facility ten minutes away. We waited for hours only to be told, no she can't farewell her husband. Really hoping that there is an available staff member to let her attend her husbands funeral. That would be nice if she was actually allowed to go.
