Care & Nursing Support The care staff are attentive and compassionate, assisting Mum with personal hygiene, dressing when needed, and making sure her dietary preferences are respected. They even help with little things like connecting her phone. Medication is managed seamlessly through their nominated pharmacy and administered without issue. The nurses are warm, professional, and always responsive to Mum’s needs. Communication We’ve found the communication to be excellent. Any enquiries—whether relating to Mum’s wellbeing or a request—are responded to promptly, either by phone or email. This consistent follow-up gives our family great confidence in her ongoing care. Lifestyle & Activities The lifestyle program is varied and engaging. Mum enjoys the regular in-house activities and weekly outings (weather permitting). There are physio-led sessions, gentle group exercises like tai chi, and highlights such as the weekly high tea and live entertainers. Mum also has the freedom to come and go as she pleases, which supports her independence. Meals & Dining The meals are thoughtfully planned, with a range of options available for both lunch and dinner. Mum can choose from multiple menu items each day, ensuring there’s always something she enjoys. The food is fresh and well-prepared, and it’s lovely that residents also have the option to enjoy a glass of wine or other alcoholic beverage with their meal if they wish—adding a touch of normalcy and pleasure to the dining experience. Facilities The facility itself is modern, clean, and welcoming. Amenities like the café, cinema, and on-site hairdresser add a real sense of community and comfort to everyday life. Final Thoughts Arcare is leading the way in aged care. The support, respect, and care shown to residents is evident in everything they do.
