Just wanted to thank all the staff at Respect Moe on behalf of the family of Alison Lambden. I can truly say that the name Respect is very appropriate as you showed nothing but respect to our mother/grandmother. You are all a credit to your Management and organisation as a whole.

We chose Royal Freemasons Moe ( Baw Baw Views ) for my Mum , was very friendly to start with ,shown the room Mum would be in and when it came time for Mum to move in was given a completely different room down near the end of the Hallway and isolated, when I asked the Manager why , the reason was she chose that room , Mum is high care needs and staff were often saying she is to far away in this room, this was just the start of not being cared for correctly ,was all good when I was going in everyday, but as soon as I came in once a week the care went downhill, Mum's food wasn't being cut up took several meetings to finally getting her food cut up, on staff change over information wasn't getting passed over , Mum was left in lounge area on her own with air-conditioning blowing cold air on her. Very short staffed, the state Mum was left in one time I visited was appalling, carer said they only had 2 staff on the floor. They keep bringing in new residents and still not enough staff . Thank Goodness we moved Mum out to a better Aged care Facility with more staff and caring. We were apologised to but sorry doesn't cut it when complaints fall on Deaf Ears. Really do your research before putting your Family member in here. An be-careful if you use an expired Rapid Antigen Test ( which I didn't realise they expire) the Office worker will really examine it and is there is a very faint 2nd line she will give you the arm flick and Demand you to leave , luckily I found someone else that let me do another test and it was negative
After making the hard decision to put a family member into respite care, with view to permanent care,,we chose what we thought was the best place for him..the Moe facility, close to family .We approached the front desk about our concerns about the safety factor within the room. As our family member is an amputee and in a wheelchair, If he was to have a fall in the shower, he couldnt reach the call button for the nurse,,, also had to push his wheelchair away from him, so it didn't get wet.. He also had to wait for over an hr for pain medication . We removed our family member today, only being there 5 days, and after being told by Janet, that if you aren't happy you can take him home. Also Sam on the front desk was very rude from day one. Pretty disgusting how it was dealt with.. Also after getting our family member home...found that some days he wasn't given all his medications
They don't care about people they left my husband who could not drink or feed him self to fend for himself and they wouldn't help him drink some had to go without ifmydaughtets didn't go in he'd have got nothing to drink said they were too busy to worry about him
