The staff at Edith Bendall really cared for my dad in the short time he was there.(roughly 2 months). The staff here are an exceptional breed of people. I believe they must go through a grueling interview process because the staff are genuine caring people. A real old country town feel. You enter Edith Bendall and you are greeted with smiles and hello's from all the staff. You almost have to pinch yourself as you question if this place is actually real! Martha and Carol saved my dad and took him on with open arms after been kicked out of another local nursing home. My dad was palliative and very ill. He would constantly call out for Caterina and Sienna. Which would drive anyone batty but they took it all in their stride. With Martha and Carols help together with ALL of the amazing staff at Edith Bendall (I'm TERRIBLE with names and I don't want to leave anyone out, hence why I won't mention any names but you all know who you are ❤️) they looked after dad with RESPECT, CARE, & LOVE. Culturally putting dad in a nursing home was a really hard choice for my mum and I. But we no longer could care for him at home. (Unfortunately we had a rough introduction to nursing home care but Edith Bendall changed all that. )We visited often and we would find staff members holding dad's hand and reassuring him that we were on our way. Other times we would find them sitting with him chatting to him and keeping him company. They called when they had to and were always lovely on the phone. They tried to involve him in the activities in the centre itself. Besides missing my dad terribly we as a family will miss the people of Edith Bendall. Thank you all for looking after my beautiful dad, Ferdinando Romano till the very end. Even though we as a family are all broken at his departure we are so happy that he had his last week's with you all to care for him. PS: did I mention when ever mum visited they would make sure mum was looked after even though she wasn't a resident!
Best service that provides support and assistance to our elderly population.
