Honestly I feel truly blessed that my Dad was able to spent his last few years at John Bryant and in the best care. Dad adored all the staff and they gave him so many happy moments. Dad loved the food and the gardens. I found all the staff to be so patient with Dad and myself, always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. The home was always clean. I know how emotionally hard it is to have to find the right care home for a loved one, and I can honestly say I have no regrets that I picked John Bryant for my Dad to spend the last few years of his life there. A big Heartfelt Thanks to all the staff for everything you did for my Dad, Ray.
My Dear Mother is here, has been for over a year. If it weren't for the the SPECIALIZED AND PRECISE CARE she is getting, my mother would have walked out, fought and absconded. My Mother is an exceptionally different type of person, highly spiritual n perceptive. Her very unique personality, interests, wants and desires are highly respected with the highest regard for individualism. My mother is HOME AWAY FROM HOME. She is valued, loved and cherished just as she is NOW, with her Dementia progressing. My Mother is in the best of care. She is attended to, provided for and clinically monitored by the most generous of heart Staff. All my Mother needs is to be loved just as she is during her declining years and while she presents with more and more difficult behaviours. My Mother is at the service of highly qualified, caring and nurturing staff who have her quality of life in their best interests. My Mother is BLESSED to be at JBC, her Home Away from Home. I'm confident any person exploring Residential Placement will experience the same...ultimate Dementia Care. We as family, will never look back.
The Building itself is quite run down and definitely not modern with limited facilities I found a number of the care staff to be really passionate about the job they do and literally incredible The Manager is a lovely lady and was very welcoming However, there are several of the office workers and one RN in particular that were less than appealing and incredibly rude Along with a few of the care staff who saw it as a job only I observed the quick route being taken to get things done rather than the care of the elderly residents wellbeing This attitude was very prevalent and resulted in residents choices being taken away and what was best for each individual being taken away The Activity staff were absolutely amazing!!
The care in Juniper John Bryant cannot be faulted. This has been particularly highlighted the during Covid -19. Staff are on top of any issues before you raise them. The visiting GP Dr Chin adds value to what is a small, well managed and caring dementia specific aged care facility. It may be older than some other places and a little worn in parts but renovations are underway and, in any event, the care John Bryant offers is much more important to our family.
Rated 5 out of 5.
Mum was placed into care here late november. the room is bright and cheery, mum is well cared for and is now content and well looked after. we are so grateful
This place is like living in a local home. Integrated into the local metropolitan architecture, residents of this dementia are genuinely happy I've found. I've visited twice.
Well run, good staff and very clean
