Since I've moved into the village 6 weeks ago I have met many wonderful people and have made many new friends. The sad part of my new home at the village is the lack of respect shown from the manager. I purchased my house through the village office. On several occasions in front of various friends, I was assured that my dog would also be welcomed into the village. Unfortunately, 6 days after I paid and signed up for the house, the manager dropped a letter into my letterbox saying my dog must go. I have submitted all relevant paperwork which proves my dog is an assistance dog. The manager, after being exceptionally rude, then dropped another letter into my letter box refusing my assistance dog to stay. I tried talking to this man, on several occasions still to no avail. I have contacted relevant support groups and they are having the same trouble with the manager. This village advertises themselves as a 'pet friendly' village but refuses to allow my assistance dog to stay. Quoting from relevant laws and policy 'It is an offence to deny entry to assistance dogs.police and other authorised officers can issue on-the-spot fines or take further summary action.' Just a warning to all that this village isn't as it states and have caused a great deal of stress to me at a time when I should be enjoying my new 'lifestyle. It's such a shame that all residents who have met my dog speak highly of her, her training, her demeanour and how quiet she is, and yet the manager refuses to listen. There are other larger dogs, noisier dogs around the village which aren't assistance dogs. It seems that the manager has taken it upon himself to pick and choose rather than follow laws. Through many conversations with residents it has been mentioned that it is a case of the manager choosing without being reasonable or fair to all. Just such a shame as the residents I've meet are so nice. My reply to the untruths from 'the owner'. It is such a shame that this has had to come to this type of messages, however after trying for weeks, along with Civil Rights'. I'm amazed that after we have been trying to contact you for some weeks that you have managed to respond to review so quickly. Unfortunately, the owner, who hasn't given his name, isn't speaking the truth on various points. I had qualified that my dog was moving to the village with me and have stat decs from the people who came to visit the viĺlage with me. It is not my job to provide you with names etc of other residents dogs. I'm sure, that's what you as an owner pay the manager for. Why am I being singled out when my dog isn't on any 'dangerous breed list, isn't a large or heavy dog? She is classified as a medium dog in size and weight. If you had checked the paperwork I've submitted to your manager you would be aware of this. You would also be aware that all my paperwork which was submitted show that my dog is an assistance dog and does comply with relevant laws. It would also be appreciated if you would take the time to reply to the many requests from 'civial rights department' who have been requesting you to contact them regarding this matter for the last 3 weeks. Thanks.
