Great level of care with dignity. Fun events for those able. Hospitable staff, I always feel like a welcomed guest.

The lady that works on the front desk - reception on a Sunday needs education on customer service and how to accommodate residents family members who require assistance when picking up there loved one’s. Everytime we come to pick our Nan up she is rude and can’t be bothered helping us at all. Making us feel like it’s a chore. Not the first time this has happened either.

We are incredibly thankful to Penninsular Village for accommodating our 90-year-old father for emergency respite care after our mother’s fall. Dad had a wonderful time during his stay. He loved his room with its garden view and abundant sunlight and quickly settled into the daily routine. The activities were a real highlight for him, with winning bingo and enjoying the ukulele visits standing out. The weekly programme included activities, cultural celebrations and a special menu. He also appreciated the diverse meal options, complete with wine, and the delightful ice cream cart. Being a social person, Dad cherished the regular visits from the staff for some friendly conversation. He enjoyed walking in the garden and visits to the cafe for coffee. We found it convenient to take Dad out for outings and visits to see Mum in nearby rehab care. Dad is now back home, but we are grateful to Penninsular Village for the excellent care and support they provided during his stay, thank you to the wonderful staff for making his stay enjoyable.

Hopelessly understaffed. Left my mother in bad pain for over 2 hours after calling for a nurse. Would definitely not recommend this establishment Four months later and I must admit things have changed for the better. There seems to be a lot more staff about and my mother is being looked after so much better. I am very happy with the care she is receiving. Thanks Peninsula!

1 star is too generous to give to the Peninsula Village. My nan got accepted into this facility with the management and staff being aware of her dementia and behaviours. 10 days later on a Friday afternoon they called our family stating that Nan had to leave due to her behaviours. My Nan was placed in an ambulance and shipped back to Gosford Hospital. No previous warnings or calls were given to my family regarding her escalating behaviours prior to this day. No compassion or care was shown to my Nan and family during her stay. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Please look elsewhere!!

I never write reviews but one is warranted here. I really wish I could remember the names of the two nurses (one male, one female) I witnessed going above and beyond to look after my nan on the weekend. In any case, if those two are any indication it's clear the staff work very hard under difficult circumstances and with care and compassion. Thank you.
