Dad was in Orana for over a year. In this time he rarely had a shower, his room smelt like a rock concert public toilet (i used to clean it everytime i visited scrubbing faeces off the seat, rails, and floor). Very few staff talked to dad and encouraged him to be social. Most of the staff there sit around chatting, or on their phones. Good place to go if you want to give up on life.

Sent gran off when she started going senile. 3 weeks later we found out she was cannibalized by staff and retirees alike. Unacceptable.
