My uncle has moved into IRT last 2 months after Doctors recommendations. I can honestly say I feel he is well looked after and cared for, which a great relief when I dont like in the,Sunshine Coast and he has no family close by. Staff are very approachable by phone and email giving regular updates, also happy to discuss any concerns at anytime

This retirement community offers peaceful bushland surroundings, villa garages, and spots for caravans. Amenities include a café, a bar with affordable drinks, a mini theatre, and an active Residents Committee. Residents enjoy a friendly atmosphere and participate in activities such as crafts, exercise classes, line dancing, bingo, cards, snooker, table tennis, indoor bowls, and more. The village bus provides shopping trips and outings to local restaurants and events. I noticed some earlier reviews weren't not so kind - you'll find the staff members have now moved on.

Quiet, respectful by most people, easy to approach management

We enjoy living here. However: 1. There are still delivery vehicles coming in to IRT Woodland between 3:45am and 5:00am. There should be no deliveries before 6:00am. We were told by head office 6pm-6am curfew would like be enforced. 2. The swimming pool is not clean, with lots of leaves and debris. And there is stains/mould on the walls and floor. 3. There needs to be a ramp into the pool, as the ageing population cannot cope with steps. 4. We, like many others, came to this village because Social activity was 'conservative' in nature. Now our community facilities appear to be the domain of drinkers (a new bar recently installed in the community hall, for them), who have control over fridges. 5. There seems to be multiple daily visits by garbage trucks to the High Care facility, which affects what should be a peaceful and quiet village. Thank you. Harold and Elaine Villa 90

My father recently chose to enter into care at IRT Woodlands following advice from his doctors and specialists, as well as from the respite centre he attended previously. He feels so well looked after and cared for by the staff. The facility is fantastic and modern, with events and activities planned for residents, many of which my father regularly enjoys. All the staff my family and I have encountered when visiting him have been wonderful: friendly, helpful and communicative. We have met with Colleen, Belinda and other staff, and found them to be open, and communicative, and giving highest priority to the wellbeing of their residents. IRT Woodlands, both facility and staff are well deserving of a 5 star rating.
