It was a wrench for Mum to leave her family home after 70 years. But she settled in well at Yarrbat Place and was thankful for the camaraderie of the other like minded residents. Mum appreciated the security at Yarrbat and was happy she no longer had the constant worry of the upkeep of her family home. The Village management covered any issue she had in that regard at Yarrbat. Bad health dictated that Mum left Yarrbat Place earlier than she wished to and she was sad to leave her new friends. I would urge anyone looking for retirement living to consider Yarrbat Place.
I have been here nearly 12 months and the best decision I have ever made. The people are wonderful and the apartments spacious with plenty of cupboard space. So glad I made the move
Until her recent transition to a residential aged care facility my mother-in-law was a member of the Yarrbat Place community. On her arrival she was warmly greeted by the existing residents and in the short time of her occupancy she felt included, safe, and secure. Any issues regarding her apartment were attended to promptly including assistance with an after hours medical issue. We can recommend Yarrbat Place and its management to any potential incoming occupants.
Living here has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life. From the moment I arrived, I felt a genuine sense of belonging and connection, with neighbours who are warm, welcoming, and always ready with a friendly chat or helping hand. There’s a wonderful spirit of companionship and shared experience that makes each day feel purposeful and uplifting. I appreciate the balance of independence and community, where I can stay active and involved at my own pace while knowing I’m surrounded by supportive, positive people. It truly feels like home, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, connection, and a vibrant place to enjoy this stage of life.
Total bullies who tried to evict and elderly lady 3 Days before Christmas and then proceeded to harass and bully her- even using staff members to block her car in so she could not make medical appointments. Keep away from this place- you are not safe.
Oh, I just love this retirement village! It’s so inspiring to see a place where profits come first, and the elderly are treated like walking dollar signs. Who needs dignity or compassion when you can squeeze every last cent out of vulnerable people? Truly a masterpiece of modern business ethics
If I could give no stars I would but I can't. They dont even deserve the one star. Absolutely appealing behaviour with no care or consideration. Money hungry abusive of power awful people. Pray off the old and vulnerable. Definitely not a place I'd wanna retire at doesn't sound like a nice retirement that's for sure. It's so sad to hear how they treat people. Makes me very upset and extremely mad.
Great place to go to people very friendly and helpful open to suggestions. A place I could get to like if I was looking for a place to stay. Highly recommended.
