BETTER THAN THE ADS! You know those glossy brochures for retirement living showing happy residents engaging in interesting activities, caring smiling staff and light filled spacious apartments surrounded by manicured gardens that look to good to be true? Streeton Park actually lives up to the hype! Since moving into Streeton Park our mother’s mobility, outlook and personal happiness have improved markedly. The options for activities and support services are truly comprehensive including a lovely large dining room with leafy outlook, café (which also has prepared meals in the fridge if you want to eat in but don’t feel like cooking), hairdresser and library. When mum needs to go out for appointments, she books a driver and there’s a bus for local shopping. The activities available include gym class, gardening club, beekeeping, film afternoons, choir, craft club, social club and more! Mum’s apartment is beautifully designed, with enviable storage, floor to ceiling windows and generous balcony. The apartments feel open but have been cleverly designed to also give privacy. The manager in charge, Linda, is a delight to deal with and all the staff are both friendly and efficient; true founts of all knowledge on all things age care related! Mum needed her walker serviced – the staff had a contact. Need housekeeping – the staff can organise it. We held Mums 90th in the large dining room and the chef did a fabulous job of catering to over 70 people, some with complicated dietaries. The staff went above and beyond, setting up the room beautifully with balloons, lights and happy birthday signs. Nothing was too much trouble. If you’re considering Streeton Park for retirement living, don’t hesitate! This is more than retirement living; its retirement thriving!
Just on 10 years ago my Mum moved to Streeton. I’m not sure where to begin when everything has had such a positive outcome. The management and care shown to all residents is exceptional, on the occasions when Mum has been unwell the support from everyone has been incredible. The new friends Mum has made since moving is so comforting for our family. The building, maintenance and choice of apartments is amazing. I could not have wished for a more positive outcome for Mum and as I very regularly tell friends “I want to move to where Mum lives it’s fantastic “ If in I doubt take the time to look at Streeton you will be impressed and don’t forget Burgandy street shops at the doorstep including Heidleberg station and the Austin hospital. Independent living at its finest a fantastic choice when the time is right for you.

I recently assisted Mum and Dad with downsizing from the family home to moving to Streeton Park. Manager Linda Williamson, the community staff and residents could not have been more welcoming! Their kindness, care and generous help, along with the beautiful Yarra River location, and 5 star hotel vibes, has not only made the transition to retirement living a smooth one for my parents, but it has also been an enjoyable experience for the whole family. We love sharing walks along the Yarra and meals in the picturesque cafe - and are looking forward to watching family movies in the cinema and celebrating future milestones together in the formal restaurant. Best of all, I love the peace of mind in knowing staff are on site 24 hours a day and Mum and Dad no longer have to worry about home maintenance (thank you, Campbell).
My wife and I moved into Streeton Park in Dec 24. From the day we moved in we have met a lot of residents and have been made to feel welcome. All the staff are fabulous and are always doing their very best for you and have become firm friends. There is so much to do here, the cafe and restaurant are first rate and you are spoilt for choice in the activities available to all residents from a fine vegetable patch to billiards and they even have their own hairdressing salon to name but a few. Linda (manager) oversees the facility and demands the very best from her staff. The care and cleanliness is first rate, nothing is too much trouble. If Disneyland is the happiest place on earth Streeton Park comes a very close second. We are very lucky and privileged to live here. If any prospective buyer would like to talk to us before purchasing an apartment we would be happy to answer any questions they have. Nick & Bev.
We’ve lived at Streeton since 2017 & feel it’s the best decision we could have made I was 74 & my husband 78 which we consider was very good age to move here The best aspects of living here are firstly the residents & the staff The building and facilities are top class We’re both involved in the social aspects ie Social committee, Library committee & the Choir We love our 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment with its lovely decor The size is perfect for us The location of the property on the Yarra Trail is wonderful giving us access to walking trails
Streeton Park Community has a wonderful friendly vibe about it. From the staff to everyone living here. We are so lucky. Anyone will help and support you. We have fun times in the cafe and at the restaurant. Our functions are always well organised and very enjoyable. You can join in as much or as little as you choose. The building is beautiful and very welcoming. I am very glad i live in such a special place and my children know I am safe and have help at hand if needed.
I moved to Streeton Park 9 months ago. After looking at other villages, Streeton stood out for its location, services and quality. Being set in a bushy environment next to the Yarra River is a bonus. I have found Streeton Park to have a friendly and welcoming community, the services an range of physical and social activities is extensive and all of the staff work as a great team to make life here enjoyable. In closing, the cafe is always good for a tasty meal or a chat.
I moved here 9 months ago and settled in very quickly. Streeton Park is in a stunning location with kilometres of walks through bushland and riverside trails at the doorstep; with the associated bird life. It is close to shops, restaurants and many medical facilities including hospitals. Within Streeton Park there are many community activities, including: craft, vegetable garden, table tennis, billiards, gym, in-house cinema..... the list goes on! The in-house cafe, restaurant and mini bar make it very easy to entertain friends and family. The residents and staff are very welcoming, helpful and friendly. My most frequent phrase is "I can't believe how lucky I am to be living here".
