My Mum has just moved into aged care after living on Long Island for 25 years. Previous owners were amazing to deal with. Centennial Living are not! Their communication is impossible. Takes them two weeks to reply to emails, despite asking again and again. After leaving, you’re left out of pocket into the thousands of dollars ($12,000 in our case) until the unit is refurbished, sold and settled and we won’t get that back. Also never understood why after every vacate, up to $100k needs to be spent refurbishing the units before sale, and then when they resell them for $480k plus, we get less than $200k back. I’m in the wrong industry where every time a unit is sold, they receive $200k profit!
