Disappointed in the care our loved one received.... there's not enough staff to resident care ratio... constant miscommunication, concerns not adhered to and ignored! It's ok if you're in independent living- but not enough care given when you're loved one needs round the clock care! Do not recommend

They have looked after my mother so well. Always let me know if any issues with her. Everyone is very friendly and very kind and caring. They all love it when l bring her dog in to see her and all other residents.

A lovely facility and very caring staff. My mum is in the Serviced Apartment area which is an amazing concept where residents can live independently but get that little extra help if needed. They have managed the last few years really well given all of the challenges. My only complaint is that there seems to be a divide between the independent residents and serviced apartment residents. Independent residents are looked after incredibly with wonderful activities and events and serviced apartment residents are made to feel like second class citizens. I have raised this on numerous occasions over the past year and nothing has really changed. I wish we had chosen Independent Apartment and supplemented care with the Home Care Package as I think she would have felt intellectually/creatively stimulated that way. Apparently this isn't the same at other Ryman Villages - unique to here maybe. "It’s the feeling of togetherness that’s the real icing on the cake for our serviced-apartment residents. With a variety of outings, regular transport options and endless opportunities to join in with activities when you feel like it. It’s a fulfilled lifestyle, it’s a serviced apartment lifestyle." This is from the website and isn't the experience many of the Serviced Apartment residents are having sadly. Bookings open on Thursday 21st at the café. A reminder that Calligraphy classes commence 20th April at 2.00pm in the Craft Room – a kit comprising of specific non run pen/cartridges, folders and an A3 translucent 50 sheet pad is available for $50; please order at the desk. Mum's just started exploring this new home, but things are looking great so far. The sales director was lovely - her own father is there now! The head nurse and I had a wonderful chat the second day on how to reassure mum, and make sure her needs were being met. I'm really ecstatic that we found the right place for her ❤️ It's potentially such a difficult time but so far, things are going as well as can be expected 😌

Very impressive multi faceted independent living and accommodation age care home for a prestigious lifestyle with caring folk to surround you. Visiting this site I was impressed by it’s Grandure from the large car parking basement to the beautiful sprawling lounge dining area for Social interaction with resident members and guests. From the moment you drive-in you are suitably impressed by the manner at which this site presents itself from the grandiose welcoming reception which is manned by friendly receptionists for up until eight at night. There is a well catered cafe, restaurant, movie theater, hairdressing and beauty salon, an enormous full size pool table in the billiard room. For social interaction there is a well equipped bar with a weekly happy hour and of course luxurious accommodation rooms and up to three bedroom penthouse with wraparound verandas. Nellie Melba Retirement Village is a relatively recently built complex with up-to-date accommodation and appliances. There are shelf opening doors with security fobs for your access, and of course lifts from the car park up to your apartment level. Staff are attentive and cannot do enough for you. Health is their priority. Routine care includes daily exercise groups both seated and standing for all capacities and fitness levels. When you become a member you will find excellent activities including daily outings and excursion trips. Once you subscribe to this lifestyle living, Overtime you can move from independent living apartments to service apartments to high care and special accommodation; these are all a simple transition as it’s all within the one grand complex.

We were impressed with the amenities offered at this Village , as the whole place did give you a warm feeling inside the Club rooms. It is not for us at this stage, as you have to go outside in the weather when going to other parts of the complex. It has a Hotel Feeling .

This is the best Aged Care facility I've ever seen. Dementia ward staff are absolutely fantastic. It feels like a hotel rather than Aged Care. Highly recommended.
