Do not use these people, they take payment upfront a huge amount I might add and then you do not hear from them again and you have to beg and plead and continue to call and email with no reply and they said when we signed up for a report that there was more than enough time to complete the report by my paediatrician appointment which was due 6 weeks and 4 days after our last appointment with the therapist which then gave her exactly 6 weeks and 4 days to complete the report, well we contacted her and the admin responded to it once by saying "these reports generally take 4-5 weeks and I will contact you once the therapist has completed it". So we waited as my appointment drew nearer and nearer , I contacted them via phone leaving messages which they never returned and then sent emails to the office which they never returned. I finally emailed her personally of which she responded and said since I have the appointment coming up she will now do the report for that date but she had to have spinal surgery and that's why it wasn't done. I asked why the office didn't contact me to let me know and she said " because it was still in the timeframe" makes zero sense and it was already over the 6 week mark and no one contacted me to let me know so I could reschedule my appointment or anything. They have never apologised , only justified it with this spinal operation which I would have been completely understanding to , had they contacted me so I could make the necessary changes . Justifying poor behaviour is actually shocking especially as a speech therapist , they should know best , how to use language and how to take accountability. If they can't model this, how can they teach the right language to young children. They are not in the know when it comes to 'lgbtq' areas as they send out forms with only the two binary genders and excused it with "oh we get those forms from America" . This has literally been the most awful experience we have ever had with a therapist and if they took accountability and said sorry and owned it, fine but to justify it, incredibly disappointing!!!!
I can't rate Spectrum Speech highly enough! We brought our 14 month old to Spectrum over a year ago and have been so happy with the dedication and support received for our Little One. Christine's deep understanding of autism and early communication development has been such a pivotal part of our therapy goals and I can't thank her enough. Our other child has also seen Georgie for help with a lisp and the sessions were so fun and engaging my child was sorry to see her lisp go 6 months later!! Admin staff are so helpful and lovely too! Thank you Spectrum Speech!
My two boys both see Melissa and she does a great job, we had to wait 4 months originally to get in and places were limited but worth the wait.
