Very good experience my child has developed a strong bond and trust with cagri i couldn't thank her enough and I highly recommend anyone as my child couldn't even speak properly but took only a few weeks and now I can't shut him up.
An idea of a speech pathologist is welcoming, smiling, two way lovey interaction, non judgemental. . THIS WAS WHAT I THOUGHT BEFORE OUR VISIT. However after meeting Cagri it changed completely. Such a DISAPPOINTMENT. Our session was meant to be 20 minutes, which was jus 5- 10 minutes. For which I was charged $85.5 dollars with partial assessment. The session included sending her the Dr email, asking few questions. Moreover it made me angry to see how she interacts with lill one and Cagri get annoyed if u give an explanation for an answer. A lot of money for that little amount of time, it was so frustrating.She also expresses frustration when the child fidgets. Her facial expressions tell everything. She looked visibly irritated. Cagri u really need to have a welcoming nature for ur patients and their families.Left the center with a huge dissatisfaction 😞
We have had such a wonderful experience with Short Sprouts Speech Pathology. Dr Cagri Yahya is absolutely amazing — so kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. She instantly made us feel comfortable and really took the time to understand our child’s needs. Cagri has a beautiful way of connecting with children while also clearly explaining everything to parents, which made the whole process feel supportive and reassuring. We’ve already seen such positive progress and feel very grateful to be in her care. I highly recommend Short Sprouts Speech Pathology and Dr Cagri Yahya to any family looking for a compassionate, professional, and dedicated speech pathologist. Ourania Brekas
My son has lvl 2 autism and apraxia of speech and Cagri is so wonderfully experienced and skilled that she was able to engage my son and pull him out of his shell. Cagri has been working with my son for 3yrs and he has progressed from practically non verbal to talking all the time and having people understand most things he is saying. Cagri really cares about her clients, helps navigate the ndis system and is always helpful and supportive in any reports, education supports, medical supports etc- she goes above and beyond in her role to really help her clients and is always working in the best interest of her clients. I can’t recommend Cagri enough
Our experience working with Cagri has been exceptional. From the onset, a psychosocial assessment was conducted and clear therapeutic goals and interventions were established. Cagri has an easy going personality to communicate and vibe with, and similarly holds a high regard for professionalism. Cagri is gentle and encouraging whilst working with kids, and implements play based learning. We have honestly felt like Cagri wants to support and collaborate with us effectively, to ensure the child is receiving the best therapeutic support. Much respect! JZK.
Our experience with Cagri was disappointing. She rushes the sessions. The first session was 6-7 minutes max and $70 is a lot of money for that little amount of time. The second session where she did the speech assessment was frustrating to say the least. Cagri rushed through the questions, and did not provide any time for processing. Considering her clients are mostly neurodivergent children, she should be providing processing time and not rushing through the questions at a super fast pace. She also expresses frustration when the child fidgets. Her facial expressions tell everything. She looks visibly annoyed when the child fidgets or doesn’t answer immediately. She doesn’t pay attention when writing the report as well, for which she charges $400. Her report was filled with grammatical errors and incomplete sentences. We expect a formatted and professional report for $400, not whatever incomplete sentences she wrote in almost all the paragraphs. Working with neurodivergent children requires patience, clarity, and understanding, which Cagri did not demonstrate. The girls at the reception are always exceptional and welcoming. However, can’t say the same about Cagri. I hope the facility reads this review and Cagri if you’re reading this please reconsider the way you interact with clients and improve your practice and attitude.
Unprofessional and disappointing experience Our experience at Short Sprout Speech Therapy Craigieburn with Cagri was extremely disappointing. From the start, I raised concerns about both my daughter’s speech and eating, yet the focus for multiple sessions remained only on chewing. I had to push repeatedly for her speech to be assessed. Even after being asked to provide food diaries, videos, and audiology results, there was no follow up on any of this. During sessions, Cagri often spoke about her personal life, which felt unprofessional and took time away from my daughter’s therapy. She also showed very little patience or compassion, at times becoming passive-aggressive when my 4 year old fidgeted or didn’t respond or was simply restless. She raised her voice at my daughter, It made my daughter so uncomfortable that she froze and shut down. I also found that Cagri frequently talked over me and dismissed my input, showing little interest in listening to my concerns. When I requested reports for my daughter’s school (as she is starting prep and would have access to school based speech support), she was dismissive and discouraging, insisting the school wouldn’t help and that we should continue attending her clinic. This made it feel like her priority was keeping us as paying clients, rather than genuinely supporting my daughter’s needs. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Short Sprout Speech Therapy or Cagri. Families deserve a therapist who is patient, compassionate, and focused on helping children thrive, not one who makes the experience stressful for both parent and child.

The center was rubbish. Miss Cagri is not educated to work as therapist she was unprofessional and rude, making the session uncomfortable. I paid for the first session she didn’t ask me questions she stayed for 10 minutes for the second session she didn’t pay attention to my son and l got negative vibes from her even my son he was crying because anything he touched she would scream at him not to touch and gave my son angry looks and didn’t let him do anything. she was dismissing my sons concerns, and showed little patience. Instead of offering support, she criticized harshly, making progress feel impossible. Her lack of empathy and poor communication skills created a stressful environment, leaving my son upset and discouraged rather than motivated to improve. Instead of engaging with my son she just sat on her chair and replying to phone texts and called not paying any attention to my kid. It was a waste of money and time.
