I had the great misfortune of following the advice of a dear Australian friend to begin therapy for my daughter. The company recommended to me led us, by chance, to Mrs. Louise McMahon. She told us we could bypass the company directly by booking with her at a discounted price. Unfortunately, we accepted. At first, she presented herself as very friendly and affectionate with our daughter. However, we soon realized she was making the situation worse rather than improving it. To make matters worse, she even brought her own children to our home, who behaved without basic courtesy. Despite these red flags, we paid her and politely ended the treatment, remaining cordial out of respect. Later, during a conversation about our travels to Italy, we recommended she visit a B&B of a close friend of ours. Mrs. McMahon booked a room for three, but arrived with far more people than agreed, causing financial loss for our friend. She then caused damage to the property, refused to pay, and even trespassed into private areas. The situation became truly alarming when her autistic son was left barefoot in hot sand, resulting in severely swollen and inflamed feet. Our friend repeatedly urged her to take him to hospital, even offering help, but Mrs. McMahon and her carer instead left the boy unattended in a room for three days. Things escalated further when she attempted to blackmail the host, demanding participation in a travel insurance fraud scheme to claim a free trip. When our honest friend refused, she retaliated by filing false police reports, despite the existence of clear written agreements and email correspondence proving otherwise. Mrs. McMahon left without settling damages, nearly caused a fire in the kitchen (where a one-year-old baby lives), and created unnecessary stress for everyone involved. We have both video and written evidence of these incidents, and will be contacting social services and the relevant insurance company. It is truly regrettable that this company would hire such a therapist. Mrs. McMahon, before attempting to treat others, you should focus on caring for your own well-being, your children, and most importantly, stop causing harm to other people’s lives.
