I booked a session not knowing that it was one off session. The speech pathologist spoke to me as if the session would be continuous, asked me what my goals are and what the therapy would be like, asked me to send autism report. I even expressed that I would like to improve my grammar etc and said she can help me. Once the session was over I asked if I could book with her again and she said the only session available is the 17th of October and that’s it. She explained that after I canceled my original appointment she thought that meant I know longer want to use her services. So if she thought I know longer wanted to use her services why was she even talking to me in the our therapy session about my future goals and telling me how she can help? When I had no chance to have continuous Speech therapy with her, never explained her schedule or that it was a one off appointment. If I knew I definitely wouldn’t book a session with her.A one off therapy isn’t therapy. In every speech therapy service they always book me for future sessions and ask me what days I would like to see the therapist regularly. Therapy is ongoing, you can’t just give people one off session and leave them with no continuous help? You wasted my time and my money. Absolutely disappointing, I feel used and very upset.
