Selecting Comlink on the Sunshine Coast as my preferred aged care partner has been an enriching life progressing decision engendering a heady mix of joy and relief to me and my family. After a few early teething issues as we've got to know each other in the Comlink partnership I am cost effectively thriving as an independent adult enjoying my chosen lifestyle of volunteering. I have not only been able to bounce back from four strokes but bounce forward into a stimulating era of interest, opportunity and relevance to my family and the community who supported me through the tough times. I'm reassured Comlink will be there for me should they reoccur. I really appreciate their staff and volunteers being here for me now sharing the exhilarating good times. Many of these have been created through their tailored touches with home help, travel and learning opportunities involved in varied outings and events all embraced by their genuine kindness and camaraderie lighting the way. On my journey with Comlink I'm acquiring a multitude of new friends now as a senior I have the time to enjoy a vibrant social life after a hectic working one. When the way forward has seemed daunting I have benefitted from Comlink's expert guidance and experience in navigating changing government aged care pathways. The caring of the staff and volunteers has led me to where I am _ enjoying a happy and rewarding life as a contributing member of the mainstream community and providing comfort to my loving family entranced that Dad is living his new dream.

Words are difficult to find to express our gratitude for the outstanding care we have received from Comlink's staff since we nominated them to manage our care packages. The fact that their staff are of such a high caliber speaks to Comlink's interest in employing the best, highly experienced, caring people.

Would someone at COMLINK Transport please explain the reason for the company’s recent disastrous changes. It seems that the ‘Mastermind’ behind the latest ‘innovations’ neither understands Aged Care nor is aware that there is a Charter of Aged Care Rights. Are you one of those clients who has already had enough of being treated like a piece of abandoned baggage on a Virgin Airlines conveyor belt?! No doubt it must also be very frustrating for all the wonderful drivers who are on the frontline, doing the heavy lifting. And why should generous volunteer drivers have to be stressed out because of thoughtless, ignorant company policy and inept management. Given the massive increase in COMLINK Transport fares, one has to marvel at the arrogance of this company. Many people who use COMLINK Transport are frail, or have serious mobility issues. Coping with the distressing physical conditions which often accompany the ageing process is difficult enough, without having to suffer the lack of respect and empathy demonstrated by decision makers at the top of this company. Finally – the COMLINK CEO seems to have gone missing in action. Or maybe he is just too busy with his Phd studies and overseas travel to step up and confront the COMLINK Transport issues that need very urgent attention.

Piss poor communication. Absolute waste of time for transport services, just ended up cancelling it. Called me 3 times during my work day, once to book a later call for registration (wouldn’t just do it on that call), another one to cancel that call and then a third call to reschedule a further phone call. Then when I finally went to do registration a week later, they’re not taking bookings on the dates I need, which I told them over the many phone calls. Just don’t even bother.

Wish I could leave no stars.... from start to trying to get out of this company's services has been a nightmare. Referred through my aged care, it took 6 weeks of promises to get started and mucking around along with excuses before we had our first clean. From then on for the next 10 months we couldn't get the cleaning service at a regular time each fortnight without being changed either day and/or time as well as cancellations altogether. It meant not being able to make other appointments and never knowing when they were coming unless they called which wasn't often. We never had the same person more than twice which meant I had to show them what to do every time I got a new person. Between that and being stood up, waiting all day only to get a no show I initiated cancelling their services. This was a horrendous procedure. All they had to do was reject the referral code which they didn't even do so I had to go back through my aged care and get them to fix it. If you ever thought about using their services I recommend you run, just run a mile!! I feel sorry for those who are elderly and affected by services such as this one but don't know how to get out.
