September 28 We recently had to bring our daughter into the Emergency Department around 6:40pm at Bendigo Health after she sustained a head injury that was bleeding. From the moment we walked in, the staff were attentive and caring. She was triaged quickly, but in those frightening moments when she suddenly became unresponsive, the response from the medical team was nothing short of incredible. Within seconds, multiple doctors and nurses were at her side, working together calmly and efficiently to assess and support her. Thanks to their quick action, she regained consciousness, and we felt an enormous sense of relief knowing she was in the very best hands. We were provided with a bed immediately, and both a nurse and doctor came to check her injury thoroughly. Their explanations were clear, reassuring, and compassionate, which helped us stay calm as parents in what could have been a very overwhelming situation. Our daughter required surgical glue, and the procedure was done with such care and professionalism. Every step of the way, the staff made sure she was comfortable and safe. We stayed for around four hours in total, and throughout that time we never once felt rushed or overlooked. Instead, we felt genuinely cared for. What stood out most was not just the medical expertise but also the kindness and compassion shown by everyone who assisted us. It is so evident how hard the staff at Bendigo Health work and how much they give of themselves to support families during some of their most stressful moments. We left the hospital incredibly grateful for the excellent care our daughter received. To every doctor, nurse, and staff member who was involved — thank you. Your dedication, teamwork, and compassion made all the difference to us that night. We are very fortunate to have such a capable and caring team of professionals in our community.
