We have used Dovida for just over 12 months and the whole experience has been excellent. Carers have been very supportive and contacting the office is easy. Very happy overall. Amy, our Care Manager, has been very supportive.

Our family has recently discontinued services with Dovida due to ongoing concerns related to communication, administrative processes, and the overall management of care. The primary issues arose through interactions with administrative staff, particularly regarding the way concerns about my daughter’s care were communicated. We were provided with inaccurate information, including assertions about care requirements that were not applicable to my daughter. As a result, unnecessary and inappropriate instructions were issued to carers, such as the use of equipment that was neither required nor suitable for our home environment. We were also advised to attend appointments that later proved to be unnecessary, leading to the use of funding without clear or appropriate justification. Furthermore, information communicated to us—both verbally and through recorded communications—was subsequently found to be incorrect, which significantly impacted our trust in the service. When these matters were escalated to management, the response did not demonstrate sufficient accountability and failed to adequately address the concerns raised. Efforts were focused on scheduling meetings rather than resolving the underlying issues. Based on our experience, we were disappointed with the level of professionalism and transparency demonstrated and would not recommend this company to families seeking reliable, well-managed care services. Please do not remove this comment without my authorization, as it has been removed on previous occasions along with other negative reviews. This does not appear to be an honest or transparent practice on the part of the company. In response to the comment made by Dovida, I respectfully advise that it does not accurately reflect the circumstances. Communication provided was unclear and insufficient. As a result of this lack of clarity, I proceeded to utilise funding for occupational therapy and physiotherapy services, which I believe was unnecessary. My understanding is that this decision was based on a complaint from a single carer who alleged an injury that did not occur within this setting. No other carers have reported similar concerns. Furthermore, communication from Dovida was limited. When responses were provided, they were often brief and lacked the detail required to support informed decision-making. This statement reflects my understanding and experience of the situation.
