Moving to Langs Road Ascot Vale was the worst decision of my life, and I will be moving from this region asap. I live on Langs Rd I am right near the Showgrounds, every time an event is held this deeply disrupts and disturbs our living environment. I am unable to move my car due to EXTREME traffic or find parking, the noise levels are very loud and until late in the night, a large amount of trash and rubbish is left around the area after each event with empty beer bottles and trash being left in my garden, due to these events and a high number of people - I and others are often checking our cars in the morning for break ins and my friend experienced a break in of their car. Each event, I and others choose to stay somewhere else due to how disturbing the events are, preventing me from staying in my own home which I pay for. I am fined multiple times because there is not sufficient parking and traffic is so extreme. You’ll be yelled at and harassed by traffic control staff when these events are on because they are so poorly prepared and cannot manage, they’ll scream at your car to “slow down” when you’re going the literal speed limit and their is no signs indicating a change in speed. I am almost killed and T-Boned at the Langs Rd-Leonard Crescent intersection DAILY as cars turning right onto Langs Rd fail to stop as the stop sign is so far back and the intersection is poorly designed. The footpaths are cracked, uneven and dangerous. This council is an absolute joke and needs a complete overhaul. I highly recommend you do not move to this council region. I have contacted the council multiple times, via phone and email yet there is still no improvements. They asked that I send them another email with suggestions, I’m sorry but I’m pretty sure there is probably someone employed by the council and that is their job not mine. They have openly denied to myself that this is their responsibility and believe that this is purely the responsibility of Melbourne City Council by the discussions I have had with them via phone, they have said this is inevitable and don’t seem to think that improvements can be made nor do they seem to wish to improve. Apparently rather than improving the roads, parking or paths, they have decided to spend $1000000 on a new car fleet!!!
